T-Pain is not here for the games.
While performing at the B’Nai B’Rith Youth Organization (BBYO) Convention in Denver, Colo. on Sunday (Feb. 17), the hitmaker abruptly ended his set after being struck by a beach ball. The object hit his face as he was performing “Bartender,” which prompted his sudden exit.
A concert attendee, who shared the video on Reddit, said that T-Pain was already irritated during his set because things were thrown at him earlier, but the beach ball was the “straw that broke the camel’s back.” He also said the crowd’s energy was bad from the start.
“It is also worth mentioning that all the kids at the concert were put in a bad mood due to the circumstances,” said the Reddit user. “It pains me to say that probably half the kids were outside the concert hall because the concert was dead from the beginning. Typically, at the convention the floor is open and everyone moshes and hangs out. But because of the location, the floor was blocked off for only certain kids, this year, with everyone trying to sneak in.”
TMZ reports that T-Pain had previously warned the crowd that he would leave if they threw another ball onstage. Pain’s people tried to get him to go back, but he refused.
T-Pain is gearing up to release his new album 1UP, which has already spawned the Tory Lanez-assisted “Getcha Roll On” and “All I Want” featuring Flipp Dinero. On Wednesday, he is set to drop his new single “A Million Times.”
Starting March 16, T-Pain will embark on his “1UP” tour in San Antonio. The 15-date trek travels across the U.S. before wrapping April 9 in San Diego.
