New Music: Boogie feat. Eminem – ‘Rainy Days’

After much anticipation, Boogie unleashes his Shady Records debut Everything’s for Sale featuring a collaboration with Eminem, who joins his signee on “Rainy Days.”

Over the ominous production, the Compton rapper reflects on his dark past. “I come from a place where the shit can get shady, my chances were slim,” he raps. “I’ve been thuggin’ through my rainy days / I ain’t really tryna hang today / I need changes in a major way / I just pray I never fade away.”

Slim Shady storms the track with a menacing verse. “You want the sleep me to wake, you want Slim Shady EP / That’s on the CD cover, sockin’ my mirror,” raps Em. “Marshall is dead in the water, but not that I care / Dre said ‘rock the boat’ and the dock is my pier.”

Everything’s for Sale marks Boogie’s first album on Shady Records, to which he signed in 2017, and follows 2016’s Thirst 48 Pt. II. The 13-track album also features appearances from 6LACK, J.I.D., and Snoh Aalegra.

Taking to social media, Boogie reflected on the project’s long-awaited release. “Bro this shit is really happening,” he said. “I’m so proud of myself and the people around me. if u got a dream KEEP GOING NIGGAZ.”
