Hollywood superstar Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande are set to take over Coachella. The popular annual music festival has announced its headliners for the spring event.
On Thursday, Coachella revealed its line-up for the two-weekend festival.
Yesterday, reports emerged about rap star Kanye West pulling out of Coachella over a set design dispute.
Kanye made it clear he wouldn’t perform on a traditional 60×40 foot stage because it was “artistically limiting.” Goldenvoice, which produces the festival, would not allow the stage to be altered or removed for Ye’s performance. In the end, we’re told Kanye passed. A Kanye source says after the Saint Pablo tour, Ye wants to give groundbreaking performances. As you know, the Saint Pablo stage moved over the crowd, and Kanye loved it. (TMZ)
Last fall, speculation developed about Kanye, Gambino and singer Justin Timberlake getting recruited for the music festival.
Informed sources tell us that the Coachella 2019 lineup will be headlined by Childish Gambino (Friday), Justin Timberlake (Saturday) and Kanye West (Sunday). Believe it or not. Stay tuned for updates, and try to lay off the molly until the festival starts. (HITS Daily Double)
At last year’s Coachella festival, R&B icon Beyoncé dominated with co-headliners The Weeknd and Eminem.
