Don’t mess with Cardi B…or her publicist.
The “Money” rapper was walking through Sydney Airport in Australia on Sunday (Dec. 30) when paparazzi and fans mobbed her. One overly eager woman wanted a photo, but Cardi was clearly not ready to take pics and covered up her face with a blanket while her entourage and bodyguards surrounded her.
However, the woman was not willing to accept no for an answer. When Cardi didn’t agree to her photo request, she blurted out a rude comment addressing Cardi and her recent breakup with Offset. “No wonder your husband left ya,” quipped the woman.

Cardi’s publicist, Patience, was not having it and snapped. “Bitch, I’ll smack the shit out ya,” she told the woman, who looked visibly shook. “Don’t ever come out your mouth about her motherfuckin’ husband… Watch your mouth!”
Cardi later took to Instagram Live to address the incident. “This old lady keep asking me for a picture… I’m literally covering my face,” she said. “Then she says something rude, disrespectful to me, like, ‘Oh, that’s why your husband cheated on you.’ And that’s when my publicist got in her face.”

Cardi continued to defend Patience. “She acted like she was so scared, like a victim—’Oh my God, oh my God!’ This the type of shit that people be doing and then when cards be getting called, we be looking like fucking animals, bro…because people provoke you and say crazy things.”
Cardi is in Australia for a series of festivals, including Origin Fields in Perth on Dec. 30 and Field Day in Sydney on New Year’s Day. She will then fly to New Zealand for the Bay Dreams festival on Jan. 2 and 4.
