Maybach Music Group’s Meek Mill can probably think of a million other things he’d rather see Travis Scott do live than perform at next year’s Super Bowl LIII halftime show. The Dreamchasers boss has shared his issues with Cactus Jack getting pegged to perform at the NFL championship game.
Meek hit up Twitter Thursday (December 20) to let Trav know he doesn’t need the NFL stage as a co-sign for his growing clout.

A few hours ago, reports developed about Scott landing the performance slot with rockers Maroon 5.
Travis will join M5 during the halftime show in Atlanta on February 3. It’s arguably the biggest gig in music, with historical performances over the years. It’s a monster move … Travis has the hottest tour going, a huge single with Drake and he’s generating big Grammy buzz. (TMZ)
Recently, reports emerged about R&B diva Rihanna refusing to perform at Super Bowl LIII in support of NFL free agent and Black Lives Matter activist Colin Kaepernick.
“The NFL and CBS really wanted Rihanna to be next year’s performer in Atlanta,” the insider reveals. “They offered it to her, but she said no because of the kneeling controversy. She doesn’t agree with the NFL’s stance.” Kaepernick, who once admitted to having a crush on Rihanna, was the first NFL player to kneel during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and racial inequality. In September, reports emerged about rap star Cardi B possibly wanting her own set at next year’s Super Bowl halftime show.
Our sources say Cardi is in negotiations to perform her song with Maroon 5, “Girls Like You” — and the main issue being discussed is whether or not CB gets a solo set. We’re told she’s getting a lot of offers to perform in early February … so she’s trying to make the best deal possible. Super Bowl LIII is being held in Atlanta, and some fans were hoping the NFL would give props to the ATL’s hot music scene. (TMZ)
