Cardi B is starting out 2019 with new music.
After a breakout year, the rapper will reportedly release a deluxe edition of her debut album Invasion of Privacy on Jan. 25. A tracklisting surfaced on Amazon UK (via HipHop-N-More) that reveals a release date and tracklisting including the original 13 tracks, plus two additional songs, the previously-released “Money” and new song “Press.”
Cardi previewed the latter on Instagram this week. “Press, press, press, press, press / Cardi don’t need more press,” she raps. “Walk in, bulletproof vest / Please tell me who she gon’ check.”
Cardi has been teasing the re-release for some time now. In August, she told fans that she was eyeing a September release date and planned to include several unreleased songs that didn’t make her debut. “There are like five songs that I was supposed to put on Invasion of Privacy, but it just didn’t finish, it didn’t make sense,” she said at the time. “So I’m gonna put it on this project that I really wanna put it out on September 1st, but I’m missing like four, five songs.”
Invasion of Privacy debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in April and spawned hits including “Bodak Yellow,” “Bartier Cardi,” “Be Careful,” and “I Like It.” The album also earned Cardi five Grammy nominations including Album of the Year and Best Rap Album.
