Black content creator GameboyJones teams up with JHBBOSS for “Really My Type” to capitalize on his undeniable buzz, which is supported by a recent interview with Crunchyroll as well as previous features on Noisey’s VICE and EARMILK. The timely collaboration, which was made by OUHBOY, describes all the feelings experienced when falling in love and having the courage to pursue that love.
“This record is special because it seamlessly allowed me to merge my affinity for both Hip-Hop and Anime,” said Jones. “Most of my fanbase is familiar with me for delivering masterful melodies over smooth beats and I made sure this song wouldn’t disappoint.”
GameboyJones, 28, born and raised in Kent in Ohio’s Portage County, is giving a unique viewpoint to the entertainment industry with his releases that are based on anime and popular culture. Self-starter in every respect, he started pursuing music seriously when he realized he could freestyle. In a short period of time, he has amassed a strong discography, which includes the singles “Uraraka,” “Save Dat Money,” “Heat Up, Freeze Up,” “Tsunade,” and “Zoldyck Mansion,” all of which were career-defining.
