Drake Leaks Kanye West and André 3000 Collaboration ‘Life of the Party’

Drake is keeping his feud with Kanye West alive.

In the early hours of Saturday morning (Sept. 4), the 6 God took over Sound 42 on SiriusXM where he played cuts off his new album Certified Lover Boy. But he surprised fans when he also leaked Kanye West’s unreleased collaboration with André 3000 called “Life of the Party,” which Ye originally previewed at his DONDA event in Las Vegas last month and again in Berlin earlier this week.

On the six-minute song, Kanye calls out Drake by name, while addressing the group text he posted on Instagram after Drake took shots at him on Trippie Redd’s “Betrayal.”

“CyHi [the Prynce] told me to my face that ‘Sicko Mode’ was his biggest song / But go on, ’cause Donda was the best ghostwriter I ever had,” he raps. “I put Virgil [Abloh] and Drake on the same text, and it wasn’t about the matching Arc’teryx or Kid Cudi dress / Just told these grown men stop it with the funny shit / I might hire the whole team from ACG.”

He later adds, “Thought we was the new Abu Dhabi / Told Drake don’t play with me on GD / And he sent that message to everybody / So if I hit you with a ‘WYD’ / You better hit me with, ‘Yes sir, I’m writing everything you need’ / I told you I was gonna take the summer back / So any of the cap, won’t take none of that / Where my motherfu**in’ red hat?”

On his verse, André 3000 avoids the controversy and raps about the death of his mother, who passed away in 2013.

Right after “Life of the Party,” Drake played his own CLB diss “7am on Bridle Path,” where he takes several shots at Kanye. “You over there in denial / We not neck and neck / It’s been a lot of years since we seen you comin’ correct,” raps Drizzy, who also responds to Kanye sharing his home address on Instagram: “Give that address to your driver / Make it your destination / Instead of just a post out of desperation.”

Drake’s Certified Lover Boy broke the record previously set by DONDA when it became the most-streamed album in a single day in 2021 on Apple Music and Spotify. CLB is also now the biggest album debut ever on both platforms.
