New York rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine did way more than people realize to make sure Dummy Boy didn’t suffer anymore setbacks. New reports claim the jailed rap artist cut a last-minute deal to get the project out across all streaming platforms.
According to reports, Tek put his fans first over trying to secure the best distribution deal following a weekend album leak.
Sources close to Tekashi tell TMZ … “Dummy Boy” is being officially released Tuesday through Create Music Group. The album was originally set for distribution through Caroline and Capitol Music Group, but we’re told the two sides had a disagreement after ‘DB’ leaked online, and Tekashi turned to Create because he wanted his music released ASAP. A few hours ago, a post hit 6ix9ine’s IG page announcing the studio project’s official release.
Last week, rap stars Nicki Minaj and 50 Cent announced the project’s delay.

This week, 6ix9ine appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to a slew of federal charges.
The judge set his trial date for September 4. That’s a long way off and, at least for now, it seems 6ix9ine will remain behind bars for much of that period … if not all of it. The issue of bail was not addressed in court. As we reported, his attorney, Lance Lazzaro, plans to apply for bail directly to the trial judge. Tekashi was denied bail when Lazzaro offered to pay $750k, surrender his passport and remain on house arrest. (TMZ)
