New York rapper 50 Cent isn’t cutting music journalist Touré any slack. The hip-hop veteran stepped forward this week to single him out for appearing in Surviving R. Kelly and now getting accused of workplace sexual harassment.
Fif went to Instagram Friday (January 11) to share his take on Touré’s media nightmare.
Yesterday, a woman came forward to accuse Touré of multiple past workplace sexual harassment encounters.
In the post, a make-up artist, who goes by the name ‘Dani,’ alleged that Touré sexually harassed her while she worked with him on a show, saying, “He couldn’t stop asking me to do anal, how I looked naked, if I had sex over the weekend, what it would be like to f–k me.” Dani then states that she would make sure to have crew members in the room with her while she got him ready for the People/Entertainment Weekly show. Eventually, Dani quit but allegedly reported Touré to human resources and according to her account, he was immediately fired. (ESSENCE)

The woman also came forward and provided details on their past working relationship.
“I worked with him most of 2017, I left in October, before he left,” she claims. After Dani quit, she says she reported Toure´ to human resources. He left Time after that; according to his rep because his agreement was over. … He went on [radio station] Hot 97 to talk about Harvey Weinstein (after he apologized). I accepted his apology and was ok to move on but, you can’t be a sexual predator and go around shaming other predators.” (ESSENCE)
Touré didn’t waste any time and released a statement addressing the accusation.
“On the show, our team, including myself, engaged in edgy, crass banter, that at the time I did not think was offensive for our tight-knit group. I am sorry for my language and for making her feel uncomfortable in any way. As a lead on the show, I should have refrained from this behavior. I have learned and grown from this experience.” (Statement)
The headline-generating accusation came following an appearance the Surviving R. Kelly participant made where he discussed R. Kelly‘s alleged criminal activity.
The accusation leveled against the 47-year-old writer is damming, as he famously interviewed the singer-songwriter in 2008 about the many sexual assault allegations leveled against him. Appearing alongside Jamilah Lemieux on the Mouse Jones hosted podcast “The Club House,” Toure spoke about R. Kelly and his repeated attempts at picking up underage girls at local Chicago high schools. It was then a makeup artist who goes by the name Dani, left a comment alleging in 2017, Toure continuously asked her to engage in anal sex. (VIBE)
