Its been a week since 21 Savage was arrested by ICE in Atlanta on Super Bowl Sunday.
Hours before the Grammys went down, the “Bank Account” rapper’s manager tweeted that the Recording Academy didn’t want to release his tickets to his mother so that she can attend on behalf of her son.
“Sooo Grammys won’t release savages tickets to Savages mom to go to Grammys on his behalf … that shit crazy smh …”

21 Savage was taken into ICE custody under allegations that he’s a United Kingdom citizen who overstayed his 1-year temporary visa in 2005. 1’s lawyer has since accused ICE of working to “intimidate” the artist into “giving up his right to fight to remain in the United States.”
His manager also previously gave us an update saying that the Atlanta rapper was in “good spirits” despite being on 23 hour lockdown. “Just got off phone wit Savage,” he wrote in a now-deleted tweet. “He is in lockdown for 23hrs of the day no TV or any communication besides our 10 min phone calls… Everything I’ve told him that has been happening made him happy & makes this time fly by thank y’all for the support.”
