Nick Cannon Is Moving Forward With The Dr. Sebi Documentary

Another one of Nipsey Hussle’s dreams is set to come true. Nick Cannon is seeing to it that his film idea will still enlighten the masses.


HipHopDX is reporting contrary to online rumors that the Ncredible mogul is still moving forward with producing the Dr. Sebi documentary. Originally the brainchild of the fallen rapper, the film was set to chronicle his life and how we won a Supreme Court case proving he could cure AIDS. Nick took to his official Instagram to deny the speculation that production has come to a stop.

His post featured a collage of the acclaimed natural healer and Cannon with the heading “NICK CANNON CANCELD DR. SEBI MOVIE AFTER RECEIVING DEATH THREATS FEARING HE END UP LIKE NIPSEY HUSSLE”. In classic Nick style his personal caption let the masses know he finds humor in almost everything but is still very serious about getting the project done. “Oh “They” wish this was the truth!! Who made this dumb shit?! LOL #Fearless” he wrote.

Shortly after the passing of Nipsey Hussle the former “Gigolo” announced that he would take on the feature and make sure it is released. On April 15 Sebi’s remaining family members posted a picture with Cannon on Instagram stating “Just wrapped up an amazing meeting with some amazing minds. Working to create the best experience for all of you awaiting this documentary!”

While a release date has yet to be set the work will most likely be ready closer to 2021.

In his latest clip to the Quavo and Tyga assisted “Broke Leg,” Lanez and company find themselves surrounded by women who use crutches as props as they twerk their butts off like their lives depended on it. We bet this was the first time a video shoot had Icey Hot by the tons for booty soreness.

Trippie Redd meanwhile continues to take shots at his former rival turned states evidence, Tekashi 6ix9ine as he gets his Call of Duty on before we see a white rat with rainbow streaks on it’s fur (LOL) creeping through the battlefield in his military themed visual to “Under Enemy Arms.”

The fans asked and Cardi B has granted their wish. Trap’s Selena has finally dropped her long teased follow-up single.

As spotted on Complex back in December 2018 the Bronx bombshell shared an in-studio performance of an unreleased track. Wearing a “bute” little red dress and using a copious amount of finger guns, she proudly rapped “Cardi don’t need no more press!”. The brief clip took on a life of its’ own and naturally the Bardi Gang wanted those rachet feels asap. Five months later the completed song is here.

Earlier this week Belcalis started teasing the formal release with several film noire styled promotional pictures alerting the masses of the May 31 launch date. Well now “Press” is officially here.

A little over the two-minute mark the new single finds Cardi in her comfort zone rapping on a mid-tempo bounce where she flips the title to the thirst of jealous females and the media who she has always had a love hate relationship with.

Cardi B to Face Grand Jury in Strip Club Assault Case

Cardi B could be facing stiffer charges.

Fresh off the release of her new single “Press,” the Grammy-winning rapper appeared in Queens Supreme Court on Friday (May 31) stemming from her alleged involvement in a fight at a Queens strip club last year.

Dressed in a fuchsia pantsuit, she was mobbed by press as she arrived to the courthouse where a judge revealed that her case will go to a grand jury. Cardi had only been facing misdemeanors, but the charges could become more severe now that the case is being heard by a grand jury.

Cardi was charged with two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of assault for allegedly throwing bottles, chairs, and a hookah at bartender sisters, Rachel Wattley and Sarah Wattley aka Jade and Baddie Gi, during the August incident at Angels Strip Club. The women claim they were attacked by Cardi’s people because Cardi thought Jade had slept with Offset.

Last month, prosecutors offered Cardi a plea deal, but she rejected it. In return for pleading guilty to a single misdemeanor, she would avoid jail as long as she stayed out of trouble for a period of time.

Cardi was arrested and booked in October for her alleged role in the strip club beatdown.

Famed Drug Kingpin Frank Lucas Dead at 88

Frank Lucas, one of the most famous drug kingpins in American history, died Thursday night.

TMZ reports Lucas died in New Jersey. Lucas was being taken to a local hospital for an undisclosed health issue and died during the trip. Additionally, Lucas’ nephew Aldwan Lassiter confirmed his death to Rolling Stone.

Lucas was known for his lucrative heroin operation that ruled Harlem in the 1960s and 70s. His story was detailed to bring drugs straight into America from Southeast Asia by using the coffins of servicemen who died. In an interview, Lucas claimed he was able to put six to eight kilos in each coffin, a figure that has become questioned over time. The drugs carried the street name of “Blue Magic.”

Lucas was arrested in 1975 by DEA raid, which uncovered more than $584,000 in cash. He was eventually convicted of drug violations, both federal and state, then sentenced to 70 years behind bars before becoming an informant, only serving five years initially. He would do an additional seven after returning to drug dealing.

Frank Lucas’ life was depicted in the 2007 film American Gangster by Denzel Washington. The movie inspired Jay-Z’s album of the same name.

He was 88-years-old at the time of death.

Could Cardi B Face Stronger Charges in Bartender Assault Case?

Cardi B returned to court today (May 31) in her case against the attack on women at a strip club. TMZ reports the case is getting more intense as she will face a grand jury. The inclusion of a grand jury indicates prosecutors are looking to give heavier charges.

Cardi arrived at the Queens courthouse to learn her case will now be heard a grand jury and may elevate from being misdemeanors for assault and reckless endangerment. Prosecutors reveal the case is going to a different measure due to “further investigation.” The findings of the investigation remain vague.

Last August, Cardi allegedly ordered an attack on two bartenders at a strip club, Jade and Baddie Gi. One of the bartenders was believed to have slept with Offset. Cardi was arrested for the incident in October. Following the arrest, Cardi denied a plea deal in April, which would result in missed jail time but likely probation.

Today, ironically, Cardi B released her new single, “Press,” which carries lyrics about no longer needing to be featured in publications.

Charlamagne Tha God Fries Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Calls Her “Original Rachel Dolezal”

As Elizabeth Warren continues her quest to win the Democratic Party nomination for President of the United States for the 2020 campaign, the Massachusetts senator will also endure deeper scrutiny. During a stop at Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club show, Charlamagne Tha God grilled Sen. Warren on her claims of being Native American, referring to her as the “original Rachel Dolezal.”

Warren joined the program Friday morning (May 31) and discussed a variety of issues but things went a little left when Charlamagne zeroed in on the senator’s past claims of native ancestry.

“You’re kind of like the original Rachel Dolezal, a little bit,” Charlamagne said. “Rachel Dolezal was a white woman pretending to be black.”

Warren was continually peppered with questions regarding the claim and before long, she conceded to the gaffe she made in making the Native American connection.

“I grew up in Oklahoma. I learned about my family the same way most people learn about their family, from my momma and my daddy and my aunts and my uncles, and it’s what I believed,” Warren retorted. “But I’m not a person of color. I’m not a citizen of a tribe, and I shouldn’t have done it.”

Meek Mill To Accept Apology From Cosmopolitan Hotel

Meek Mill Launches Residency At Drai's Beach Club - Nightclub In Las Vegas

Meek Mill and his crew were met by security after attempting to party at the Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas over the weekend and were told conflicting reasons as to why they couldn’t enter. Now, the hotel is issuing an apology that the Philadelphia rapper will accept, this after his lawyer called the incident racist while threading a lawsuit.

TMZ reports:

Multiple sources with direct knowledge tell us, the Cosmo will issue a “significant public apology” expressing regret and accepting fault when Meek was told last Saturday to leave the hotel … or else.

TMZ broke the story, Meek’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, prepared a lawsuit he intended to file this week against the hotel, claiming racial discrimination and defamation. Tacopina claims there is a blacklist for black rappers at the hotel, but hotel sources say that’s BS.

We’ve also learned the lawyer for O.J. Simpson reached out to Tacopina, saying O.J. had been mistreated by the hotel as well. In November 2017, hotel staff kicked O.J. out after the staff claimed he was intoxicated and unruly. He was permanently banned from the grounds.

The outlet adds that Snoop Dogg even had run-ins with the Cosmo, and the bad PR definitely seemed to do the trick for Meek and his squad.
